3DSPEC Multiplier Event hosted by IBV

The 3DSPEC multiplier event E3 took place at the 48^th National Congress of Podiatry in Salamanca (Spain).

The event consisted of two parts:

• Informative session about the 3DSPEC project. General information about the project, including its objectives and planned results were presented. Special focus was given to the 3DSPEC course (project result) – its objectives as well as knowledge and skills to be acquired by trainees were discussed. The course curriculum and the stages that we are currently working on, i.e. development of training materials and the development of Internet platform for ordering of 3D printing were also presented.
• Demonstration of application of the new technologies of computer-aided  design (CAD) and 3D printing applied in the podiatric area. Focused was given to the work carried out by the IBV in the design and manufacture of custom insoles using 3D printing.
